12/29/2023 0 Comments Hotels near hidden valley ski resortI am an average skiier and I could have gotten there in 10 mins. My kids sat in 15 degree temperatures until 1135 because the ski patrol didn't come over to clear the backside lift. We arrived at 1045 after another pathetic breakfast. It was obvious to anyone with a brain that we arrived on 1 January and they were good for two days. Our Ski lift tickets were marked as Lodging ski lift tickets marked for arrival on the 1st of January. The last trip, I decided to drive to the back side of the mountain and enter the other lodge. ****** Here is the number one reason I will NEVER return there. The manager acknowledges the challenge with the software, but hasn't bothered to fix the problem with his employees so they act like your trying to sneak on or show indifference when you try and get it fixed. The one time it wasn't crowded so the boy called the manager and she was able to fix it. Even then they have had trouble several times. Because of a failure in the software, (This is what the manager told me) you have to go back each morning and wait in long lines as one attendant issues lift tickets. Several times because we were staying and skiing, we got the ski package that included the room and several days of skiing. The staff and food is good in the Clock Tower. The staff was polite, but even after we got to the room the last time after skiing, the sheets from the people from the day before were still on the fold out bed and were very gross!Ħ. Room hasn't been ready twice even when showing up at 5 pm. By that time the 7 year old was crying and headed back down the mountain asking her mom what to do.ĥ. When we got off and my kids ran into the pile up at the offramp, I knocked went up and knocked on the window and the kid literally fell off the seat because he was suprised. Next trip they left a 7 year old go back down the mountain because the guy at the top of the hill was texting in the booth instead of watching the riders. 10 mins later a 15 year old fell off that same lift and got severally hurt. My child is a good skiier, but couldn't even reach the bar to pull it down. The attendant said she would be fine and ignored her. Left my child, who pushed forward thinking everybody was ready, get on lift alone even after an adult begged the boy to stop the lift and let her get on the next one. Glaciers is open to families with children till 8PM so there is no excuse.Ĥ. They had a remote and only after another horrible song came on did they shut it off when I demanded to see the manager. Also service was always slow as she would sit there and eat lunch in front of customers or flirt with the single men at the bar while leaving my children's ordered soup get cold. After "F*&^ the Police" came on the jukebox, I asked her to fix it and she just said it was random and proceeded to shake her butt to the song. The lady despite having fresh supplies arrive refused to put more food out and there is no other place on the grounds to get breakfast.ģ. The last several times we went there was some bread and cereal left. They will let you leave a message, but sometimes never get back to you or will contact you that night almost at bedtime.Ģ. Call and hardly ever get through to the desk. Here are some of the problems with the resort during our 1st month of skiing.ġ. This first month at Hidden Valley has caused me to reevaluate the resort. The lodge is a little run down but it was quaint and I could build fires. I really liked getting their suite with the fire place. I have been taking my kids to Hidden Valley for the last 3 years and we went Every week and weekend this year up until about a week ago.
